The Vision

It is with great pleasure that the Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) in Lafayette, LA announces the award of a National Endowment for the Arts grant for the creation of the Art I-10 project. Art I-10 is a multifaceted conceptual project aimed at linking arts organization along I-10 via the Internet and printed materials. For the Art I-10 Project, AcA networked with other arts centers connected by I-10 and invited them to participate in the co-branding effort of “Art I-10.” The goal of this effort is to engage patrons with the notion of taking art road-trips and to call attention to the wealth of excellent arts centers and exhibitions along I-10. We hope this project will also cement a connection between our growing art communities.

In conjunction with Art I-10, the Acadiana Center for the Arts will host an exhibition highlighting artist living and working along the I-10 corridor from October 14, 2017–March 10, 2018. This exhibition will also run in tandem with Prospect 4, New Orleans.

Please contact the AcA chief curator Brian Guidry if you are interested in becoming a part of Art I-10!
